Sound familiar?
You’re living with - or thinking about living with - someone who has kids. Their presence shapes your home, your plans, your life.
You carry real responsibility, but have limited agency - over time, space, money, the rules. You’re navigating a setup shaped by someone else’s past - and there’s no guidebook.
Your role matters, but it can feel invisible, maybe even unappreciated. Setting boundaries? You’ve tried, but they come with side helping of guilt - or conflict.
You’re trying to speak up, but it’s hard you’re trying so hard not to be… that word… wicked.
There are moments of love, connection and progress - but something has to shift.
You want more clarity, more ease, and a bit of sanity.
You’re ready to move forward.
You’re not alone.
This space is for childfree stepmums like you: navigating the grey areas, the blurred lines, and the big feelings no one else quite gets.
Here, you’ll find support that’s honest, practical, and rooted in real life.
Whether you want space to reflect, a place to connect, or tools to shape your next steps -
you’re in the right place.
I’m Jo.
Childfree Stepmum. Therapist. Coach.
If you’re ready to rewrite the script on what it means to be a stepmum – especially one without kids of your own – you’re in the right place.
13 years ago, I became a childfree stepmum. I had no idea what I was getting into, and it’s one of the most challenging things I’ve ever faced. Sound familiar? Then you’re in the right place.
This is a space for honesty, support, and finding your own way through the in-between.

1:1 Support
Individual, tailored support to help you make sense of things and move forward with clarity.
One-to-one sessions offer space to reflect, process, and explore what’s feeling stuck — with compassionate, thoughtful support to help you move towards more ease and emotional clarity.
I’m a veteran (accidental) childfree stepmum and psychotherapist, based in the UK. When I started this journey 13 years ago, there was next to no support out there for people like me.
It wasn’t until I connected with other childfree stepmums that things started to shift. I stopped feeling so isolated; I found my voice; I began to figure out what kind of life I wanted – not just what I thought was expected of me.
Now, I help other childfree stepmums do the same. Not just to cope, but to feel more in control, more confident, and more free.
You don’t have to settle for feeling like a guest in your own life. Let’s rewrite the script and make this role work for you.
